We have experience of painting private homes, from a single small bedroom through to complete 5 bed houses, from a simple freshen up for a buy to let property to working for local builders on new build properties where we are starting from scratch.

For larger projects or where time is of the essence we have a number of associates who can join us to speed up a project.

Below are a few recent examples of work that we have carried out locally:-

Hall Stairs & Landing, Melksham

This was a modern house probably around 15 years old, that hadn’t been painted since new, the customer wanted to get away from Magnolia so after we supplied colour cards and eventually Test pots they chose Dulux Soft Apple for the walls, with white ceilings and Dulux Satinwood in white for the 13 doors. We also varnished the banisters just to freshen them up.

New Kitchen/Diner in Westbury

This was a really nice job done by Leekes of Melksham, they had knocked through 3 rooms to create a modern kitchen/family room, with separate utility and we were then asked to paint it

Before we started most of the new plaster has been mist coated

During painting all the new units have been covered up with statically charged film and the floor with waterproof dust sheets

The Kitchen finished with the walls in F&B Wevet 273, the woodwork in Crown Fast Flow Eggshell and the ceilings in Tikkurila Anti Reflex AR2 for the ceilings

Large House in Crockerton, Wiltshire

This was a large detached house in Crockerton just outside Warminster, the customer asked us to paint the main kitchen/family room and their main bedroom, and stairwell

Main family room before painting the customer had kindly cleared most of the smaller furniture and ornaments

During painting, all the furniture has been covered with statically charged plastic sheeting and the floor with water proof barrier sheets

Dining area finished with Dulux Rock Salt vinyl matt on the main walls and Dulux Urban Obsession vinyl matt as a feature wall, the woodwork was finished in Dulux Rock Salt Eggshell

Kitchen area finished with Dulux Urban Obsession in vinyl matt as the main colour and Dulux Rock Salt vinyl matt as a feature wall, the woodwork was finished in Dulux Rock Salt Eggshell

Lounge area finished with Dulux Rock Salt vinyl matt on the main walls and Dulux Urban Obsession vinyl matt picked out on the chimney breast as a feature wall, the woodwork was finished in Dulux Rock Salt Eggshell

The main bedroom finished with the walls in Dulux Soft Truffle vinyl matt and the woodwork in Dulux Rock Salt eggshell

This is a 4 bed detached house in Great Hinton, just outside of Trowbridge

We have done a number of jobs at this home, including painting several bedrooms, the lounge and hall, stairs and landing

Front bedroom before painting we had already arranged for the ceiling to be plastered prior to our arrival

The front bedroom finished, being used as a snug by the owners, the walls are painted in Graham & Brown Aqueous with the ceiling in matt white and the woodwork in Crown fast flow white eggshell

The lounge before we started painting, the customer had the two book cases/cabinets custom made for either side of the fireplace and we had fitted the coving above them prior to this picture being taken

The lounge finished, the ceiling is in Tikkurila AR2 white, the walls in Graham & Brown Rhapsody Blue, and the woodwork in Crown Fast Flow eggshell, if you notice the doors have also been painted white having originally been a light oak colour

Before we started, at some point the walls had been wallpapered, somebody had removed the paper but left a rough film on the walls hence the Mirka sander with dust extraction in the picture as we had to sand all the walls before starting, the carpets which are new all had carpet protector film applied, not in the picture

Finished, the walls have been painted in Graham & Brown 1946, the ceiling in Tikkurila AR2 white and the woodwork in Crown Fast Flow Eggshell, the banisters, spindles and doors which have all been turned from wood to white have had, one coat of Zinsser BIN primer/sealer, two coats of Crown fast flow undercoat and one coat of Crown Fast Flow Eggshell in white

This is a 4 bedroom house in Winsley

The customer wanted the kitchen/utility room, dining area and lounge repainting in Farrow & Ball colours, the customer wanted it done while they were on holiday for two weeks which made it easier for everybody

Large Kitchen Family Room in Bulkington, Wiltshire

This is a large something like 4,500 sq ft house we are gradually working our way round in stages

The room will be finished in Tikkurila AR2 on the ceiling with Dulux Soft Sheen in Brilliant white on the walls and the woodwork in Dulux white satinwood

Large Lounge/Diner and Bedroom wall

This job involved painting a customer’s lounge/dining room, walls, ceilings and covering up dark feature ceiling joists.

The customer kindly went on holiday whilst we carried this work out, which allowed us to move a large amount of furniture and display cabinets full of china/glass out of the room into their conservatory, this made the job a lot easier without them trying to live in the property at the same time.

The ceilings were painted in Whitemoor, with the bulk of the walls in Stone Cross and one feature wall in Crabtree Green.

We also painted one of the walls in a bedroom which the customer had re-plastered with white plaster paint and a blue emulsion the customer supplied to match existing.

3 Bed Detached Buy to Let property

Although vacant at the time this house was fully furnished, the job involved painting the entire property throughout, with White Matt ceilings, Dulux White Cotton walls, with all internal doors in Dulux Satinwood white, we also stained the garden fence and outside gates in Ronseal Fencing Stain in Dark Oak just to finish it off.

The customer wanted their Lounge and Bedroom walls repainted with the only woodwork to be painted being the door frames and doors, the ceilings were also left. We don’t have a before and after picture of this, but the lounge as you can see looked clean and fresh at the end

5 rooms in a house on St Thomas Road, Trowbridge

This a large 4 bedroom house on St Thomas Road, Trowbridge, the customer wanted 5 rooms decorated, the lounge which had a dado rail removed but left a ring round the room, which we removed. The main bedroom which was to have a feature wall wallpapered and 2 other bedrooms and the utility room painted

Pair of Garage Doors & Frames, in Warminster

This was a pair of garage doors and frames we did for a couple of neighbours in Warminster. The bungalows we guess are early 70’s, the one on the left wasn’t too bad, the right one was peeling badly and had judging by the different colours had at least seven coats of paint, i.e. had never been stripped.

We stripped both doors back to bare metal and applied a metal primer undercoat followed by two coats of Dulux Ruby Starlet High Gloss, both customers were very pleased with the results.

Lounge/Diner in Damask Way, Warminster

This was a Lounge/Diner in a 1970s Bungalow in Warminster, the customer who is a heavy smoker wanted the lounge freshened up. We stripped the wallpaper, after cleaning the ceiling we applied several coats of stain block to the ceiling and repainted. The walls were papered with an anaglypta Bark design which will make it easy to repaint in the future. The walls were then repainted with Albany Theale which is a light grey, which looked clean and fresh.

Unusually the customer left it up to us to choose the paper and paint colour, but hopefully was pleased with the end result

This was a very straight forward job, the customer just wanted the Kitchen and Utility rooms walls and ceiling repainting in the existing colour Dulux Jasmine White

New Build 4 bed detached, Craybourne Rd, Melksham

This was a new house built by a developer in the garden of an existing property in Melksham, the property consists of 4 bedrooms over 3 floors, 3 bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom. We were asked to paint the entire property, in mostly white vinyl matt, and the wood work in Dulux Satinwood. The two main rooms the Lounge and Kitchen/Diner being painted in Crown Blank Canvas which looked very smart

Bathroom in 1 Bedroom Home in Phillips Close, Devizes

This was a fairly small bathroom job, the customer wanted the bathroom painted white, and had attempted to remove the wallpaper himself, unfortunately in doing so he had pulled the paint underneath off as well back to bare plasterboard. We removed all the wallpaper and feathered edge filled the joint between the bare plasterboard and the painted surface. Because the paint underneath was such a strong colour 4 coats of white vinyl matt were required

The customer wanted their kitchen wallpapered, and the ceiling and woodwork painted. The customer had attempted to remove the wallpaper themselves and given up

The customer wanted their outside windows, window reveals, doors and veranda repainted we also replaced a section of wood which was completely rotten

Complete Kitchen/Utility Room including units painted in Great Hinton

This was a nice project for a customer in the village of Great Hinton, they wanted to update their kitchen which was about 20 years old, without changing the units. They had the worktops replaced and new down lighters installed, we then painted the kitchen units, and the entire room including the utility and downstairs cloakroom to match.

2 Bedroom Bunglow on Holbrook Lane, Trowbridge

This customer originally asked us to wallpaper her two bedrooms in a neutral colour, after having a conversation with us, we suggested we reattach the existing wallpaper and paint it which is of course much cheaper. After leaving colour cards with the customer she choose a Dulux Heritage colour, Wiltshire White

Main bedroom before painting, we killed off some mould on the walls, and refitted the wallpaper which was loose in a couple of places. The customer had only lived in the bungalow a couple of years and during painting we found a large stash of Cliff Richard calendars on the top of the built in wardrobe, to which the customer denied any knowledge !
